Vic: Ryan cautious about injecting rooms
National Party leader PETER RYAN says he has grave concerns about the Victorian government's
plans for injecting rooms.
Mr RYAN says while the opposition is waiting for legislation before deciding whether
to back the proposal, the facilities send out the wrong messages.
He says it's a form of social experiment, and he doesn't know why the government is
in such a rush to do it.
The state government announced today it will introduce legislation to allow the establishment
of five supervised injecting rooms for heroin users.
